---- — The Friends of the Drake Public Library raffle fundraiser for 2013 has come to a close.

Colene Chebuhar, with the help of several contributors, drew the winner's names of the donated raffle items in the front lobby of the Drake Public Library in Centerville Friday afternoon, Nov. 1.

Chebuhar said approximately $650 was raised and will be used to support the Drake Public Library and to promote literacy.

"As a team, including all of the generous people that donated prizes and the patrons and friends that purchased tickets, we can all be proud to assist our library to provide the citizens of the area timely and wide ranging library materials, services and programs not covered by the general budget," Chebuhar said. "Everyone wins, even if your name wasn't drawn."
