Board approves donation
The Appanoose County Board of Supervisors met Oct. 21 at 9 a.m. in the Boardroom of the Courthouse with all present and granted a request to provide money to help leverage a large grant.
Mike Craver requested the Board allocate $10,000 at $2,000 annually for five years to help with local matching money on a $600,000 improvement project to help build two cabins at Lelah Bradley and upgrade the All Play sports complex. The state, through a Vision Iowa, Community Attraction and Tourism grant, will come up with 20 percent of the cost.
The board voted 3-0 to approve the request for five years beginning in fiscal year 2015.
