County Board of Supervisors supports All Play and County grant

---- — The Appanoose County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. in the boardroom of the Appanoose County Courthouse and approved a letter of support for All Play and County Conservation grant application with the Secondary Road doing dirt work for an in-kind contribution.

The board approved several personnel items: Randall Raskie’s position was moved to shop foreman; the resignation of Barbara Armstrong effective Oct. 12 as jailer; hired Kelly Howard as deputy auditor effective Sept. 16 at a salary of $29,303.92 annually; the appointment of Belinda Seay and Jerry Robison as Chariton Township trustees and James Rodebush as township clerk.

The board voted to proceed with the Mercy Ambulance project of a Public Access Defibrillation Project.

Diane Buss, Central Point Coordinator, informed the board she is in the process of applying for a grant for a three-bed stabilization unit.

The board voted to set a public hearing for Oct. 7 at 9:15 a.m. for resolution to establish a Level C road on part of l00th Avenue and 610th Street.

The next meeting for the Appanoose County Board of Supervisors is at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7 at the boardroom in the Courthouse.
