STEM Festival to be held at IHCC

---- — OTTUMWA — Hoping to boost student interest and achievement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, Indian Hills Community College will host a free, family-friendly festival of hands-on STEM activities for fifth-eighth graders and their families on Tuesday, March 11.

The festival will be held at IHCC’s Rural Health Education Center in Ottumwa from 5-7 p.m. Student groups, local businesses and community groups will host a wide variety of hands-on activities including making toothbrush robots, geometry with bubbles, creating a green screen video and others.

The festival is being sponsored by the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council South Central Hub, Indian Hills and Great Prairie Area Education Agency. To register for the event, go to scstemhub.drake.edu.
