Centerville FFA members assisted during the Pheasants Forever Banquet at the Manhattan which was held on March 23. Those students who worked were Katie Morris, FFA VP, Maranda Rupalo, FFA Sentinel, Hunter Moore, FFA President, members Graydon Schmidt and Branson Bachman. They assisted with the raffles and with the auction and presented gifts to the sponsors during the program portion of the evening.
"Thanks to PF Banquet chairpersons Steve Brown and Mark Hoffman for inviting the students to be apart of the evening activities,” Elizebeth Gaskins, FFA advisor, said. “Pheasants Forever is dedicated to the conservation of pheasants, quail and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies and programs. In 2011, the National Pheasants Forever organization put over 22,000 youngsters through mentored hunts and shooting sports events. Those opportunities help students like these from the local FFA become more active in hunting and teach them the importance of habitat and species conservation."
