Appanoose County Magistrate Judge Julie De Vries Wednesday morning ordered the bond review hearing for 51-year-old Brian Joseph Davis, of Centerville, to be continued to today at 1 p.m.
Davis agreed to appear at Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa in Centerville with Dr. Dasari today for a psychiatric evaluation. Pending the results of the evaluation, the court will consider the defendant's release for supervision with the Department of Corrections.
Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa agreed to submit a report to the court no later than 12:45 p.m. today.
Davis is accused by complaint and affidavit of one count of threat of terrorism, a class D felony. Davis was arrested Tuesday, April 2 after an investigation revealed he had made multiple threats in regards to the lack of security at Centerville schools.
Davis is currently being held in the Appanoose County Jail with a $50,000 cash bond.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
