---- — The Appanoose County Board of Supervisors Wednesday in special session at 9 a.m. in the Boardroom of the Courthouse cut compensation board recommendations for elected county officials by 25 percent.
The board also voted to reduce the compensation board’s 7.137 percent recommendation for the supervisors to match the 4.095 percent recommendation for the county auditor, treasurer and recorder.
The Appanoose County Compensation Board consists of Mark Dekker, Jimmy Underwood, Mike O’Connor, Bette Howell, RoseMary Porter and Ann Young.
The ACCB during their meeting Nov. 12 made the following salary recommendations for Appanoose County elected county officials. The salary for the board of supervisors would increase by 7.137 percent, the county auditor, recorder and treasurer each would increase by 4.095 percent, the county sheriff by 4.004 percent and the county attorney by 3 percent.
With the change in percentage for the county supervisors and the 25 percent across-the board decrease, the supervisors, auditor, recorder and treasurer will receive a 3.071 percent increase, the county sheriff will receive a 3.003 percent increase and the county attorney will receive a 2.250 percent increase.
