---- — OTTUMWA — Sieda Community Action will hold a series of informational sessions around the area to help local residents better understand their benefits and responsibilities under the Affordable Care Act and increase public awareness of the ability to access health care coverage through the Marketplace. Sieda as part of a contract with the Iowa Community Action Association and the Iowa Insurance Division will presenting nearly 30 session throughout southern Iowa.

Brian Dunn, Sieda’s executive director, said, “There has been a great deal of discussion about the Affordable Care Act, but I’m not certain any of it has really helped folks understand what it truly means to them. This is an opportunity for Sieda to help educate our clients, and others in our communities, so they better understand their options and make informed decisions.”

Informational sessions in Appanoose County will be on Monday, March 3 and Monday, March 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Iowa State University Extension, 501 N. 12th St. in Centerville.
