Lawrence James Anderson, 54, of Corydon, was sentenced by Wayne County Judge David L. Christensen on March 25 to 10 years in prison, all suspended, three years probation and a fine for a criminal controlled substance violation.
Anderson entered a negotiated, voluntary guilty plea to the criminal count on Jan. 2, 2103. The offense date for the criminal conviction was Aug. 31, 2012.
Anderson was originally facing five felony and serous misdemeanor charges.
The court on March 25 dismissed the remaining four criminal counts: Two class C felony controlled substance violation charges with offense dates of Sept. 7, 2012 and Oct. 31, 2012; one count of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a class D felony, with an offense date of Oct. 31, 2012; and one count of possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor, with an offense date of Oct. 31, 2012.
The criminal complaints and affidavits were filed by law enforcement on Nov. 1, 2012.
Anderson owes $2,065.
