CENTERVILLE — Monday, July 14, 2008 at approximately 12:08 p.m., the Appanoose County Sheriff received a report of a criminal mischief and livestock being killed in the 24900 Block of 610th Avenue, Exline.

Investigation of the case has revealed that Robert White and sons Jesse and Anthony had eight tractor tires cut; two cows and one calf shot; more than a quarter mile of fencing cut and two-hay bale wraps cut, totaling more than $6,000 in damages and loss.

The incident is believed to have occurred during the early morning hours of Monday, July 14. The incident is currently under investigation by the Appanoose County Sheriff with the assistance of the Department of Natural Resources.

“I never imagined that something like that would happen in this community. It’s unfortunate – it cost us a lot of time and money,” said Jesse (Blake) White.
