Supervisors approve ordering of 28 new voting machines By Patsy Cincotta - Staff writer CENTERVILLE – At the Appanoose County Board of Supervisors meeting Monday, the board voted to approve ordering 28 new voting machines from the state, two per precinct for 14 precincts. Each precinct will have a machine for use by the handicapped.
County Engineer Gary Bishop gave his recommendation to the board for increasing the union and non-union employees’ wages by 4.1 percent. He also reached agreement with the Belloma family regarding changing a road classification from C to B, which the board approved. Fireworks permits were approved for Moravia, the Exline store and the Appanoose County Fair. The board also approved the plat of the Bucktail first subdivision west of Iconium. (This is the same as the Buckhorn, just a name change.)
