Introduction to bird watching

CENTERVILLE – Rathbun Bird Club members will be hosting an introduction to bird watching program on the morning of Saturday, May 17, at Sharon Bluffs State Park.
A meeting will be held at 8 a.m. at the Nature Center of Sharon Bluffs State Park before heading outside to identify birds.
Bird watching is a pastime enjoyed by millions of people across America. It can be done just about anywhere, anytime, by anyone. If you’ve ever seen or head a bird call and wondered what kind of bird is that, or just want to learn more about a hobby you can enjoy for the rest of your life, you won’t want to miss this program. This will be a very informative morning, and is appropriate for all ages and skill levels, with the emphasis on the beginning birdwatcher.
