The Daily Iowegian will publish an Editorial Question of the Week on the Opinion page.
The Iowegian wants readers to think about the Levee district and plans that surfaced recently showing a vastly different looking district.
The Daily Iowegian published a story, "Coming soon to a Levee near you?" on Thursday, March 28 with a graphic showing the proposed changes and accompanying story where Nancy Bennett, a Betterment or Bust group member, talks about the plans.
The plans for improving the Levee were made in 1996 by Iowa State University landscape architecture students.
Bennett, in the story, said the improving the Levee would require effort from the entire community but for right now it was just in the discussion phase.
The story has generated some controversy within the community. Letters have been written and comments have been made.
So, the question this week is, "Would you or would you not support, even if just in concept with no work being done, the idea of improving a section of the Levee?"
