Following the barbeque, an assembly was held highlighting the Centerville band, cheerleaders, volleyball team, cross country team and football team. The Centerville baseball and softball teams were also acknowledged.

Centerville fall sports teams sit in the band shell on the square prior to being introduced at Big Red Pride Night. There was an impressive turnout for the annual event. The Big Red football season opener is Aug. 29 at Davis County. The first volleyball game of the year is Sept. 2 at Moulton-Udell. The cross country season begins with a meet at Corydon on Sept. 4.
