This is the backside of the lodge, which faces Rathbun Lake. The 105-room facility is scheduled to be open by September. The foundation work began in July.

Attached to the lodge is the water park.

The Honey Creek Resort State Park’s lodge takes shape. Despite earlier ice and snow storms, plus subzero weather, workers lost only one-half day due to the weather. The main contractor for the project is Hansen Company, Inc., which is based in Johnston.
