People board the train in Moravia Saturday for the annual Appanoose County Train Rides. The scenic 70-minute train ride was in an open air passenger car pulled by a diesel-electric engine that began at the Wabash Depot Museum in Moravia and traveled north to Albia before returning. There were nine total departure times on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for the event were sold out. Proceeds from the event go toward tourism projects in Appanoose County.
