---- — The Franklin Farmhands met on Oct. 13 at the Promise City shelter house to pick up trash along Highway 2. Several members and their families came to help. After that was completed a meeting was called to order by Anthony Furlin.
Market beef weigh-in will be held on Dec. 14 at the fairgrounds. The county weigh in will be from 9-11 a.m. and state weigh in will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. that day.
4-H Fun Day was held at the extension office on Saturday, Oct. 12 with many fun activities and prizes awarded. Courtney and Lynn did a good job planning the day. Online enrollment is taking place now until Feb. 1 for returning and new members.
On Tuesday, Oct. 29 Franklin Farmhand members met at the Seymour Care Center after school to hand out treats to the residents for Halloween. Cooking Club is held every third Saturday at the extension office from 2-4 p.m.
The Awards Banquet will be held Jan. 14 at the Nazarene Church in Moravia. Baskets will be auctioned off that evening. Our club basket will be first-aid. So for the next meeting, Nov. 20 everyone will need to bring a first-aid item to put in our basket. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the township hall and we will have election of officers that evening.
After the meeting was complete everyone brought finger foods to enjoy.
