Engagement, upcoming wedding announced

Clayton Lee Daniels, son of Frank and Leann Daniels of Moulton, and Felicia Marie Daniels, daughter of Ron and Janet Daniels of Udell, are engaged.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Moulton-Udell High School and a 2005 graduate of Indian Hills Community College. She currently works at a PBM company, Catalyst Rx, as a pharmacy technician.

The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Moulton-Udell High School, a 2003 graduate of Indian Hills Community College and a 2006 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. He is currently attending Des Moines University where he is enrolled in the physical therapy program.

The couple currently resides in West Des Moines and their wedding date is Sept. 16.

The Iowegian wants readers to think about the solicitation ordinance that will prevent groups or individuals from entering a roadway to solicit money. The Centerville City Council in June by a 5-0 vote passed the first reading of just such an ordinance. Public pressure and during a subsequent special meeting, the council voted 3-2 to table the ordinance. A second special meeting to discuss the solicitation ordinance is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 at City Hall. So, the question of the week is, "Do you or do you not support the ordinance to prevent solicitation of funds in city streets?"
