Four Centerville Community School District school teachers with 132 years of on the job experience will retire at the end of the current school year.
Retiring are Lincoln Elementary teacher Leanne Cortesio, with 33 years, secondary teacher Paula Gray, with 31 years, elementary teacher and preschool principal Kathy Cossolotto, with 29 years and K-12 teacher Marcia Meller, with 39 years.
The retirements were announced and accepted by the Centerville Community School District Board of Education during their regular meeting April 8 at the Administration Office on North Main.
Other personnel changes to take effect at the end of the school year pending a suitable replacement approved by the board included resignations submitted Nic Belloma, varsity girls’ basketball and Shawna Jacobsen and Shelley Cranston, both junior high student council sponsors. The resignation for Emilie Logston Harwell, junior high eighth grade volleyball, was effective March 19.

As a FYI, Tony Ryan, school district superintendent, said discussions are ongoing with local law enforcement and health care providers concerning the planning for school building safety.
The school district attorney is working to sell the now-vacant school buildings to the cities of Mystic and Cincinnati.
The high school and alternative school graduation ceremonies are set for 2:30 p.m. May 19 at Lakeview Elementary.
