The Centerville and Moulton-Udell School Boards met for their annual joint meeting Tuesday night at the Lakeview library at 5:30 p.m.
The board members discussed the ongoing sharing agreements of the two school districts, including in athletics, academics, administration, purchasing and other areas. The agreements to share will automatically renew on March unless any changes are wanted.
Members of both boards seemed happy with current arrangements. Moulton-Udell Board members thought that Centerville teams might be able to gain more Moulton-Udell members if there was a little more visibility from coaches or the athletic director in the Moulton school. It would help overcome any anxiety students might have about joining Centerville teams.
The boards and administrators also discussed possibly expansion of the sharing agreements in the future, with Moulton-Udell students possibly taking some more specialized classes at Centerville, such as building trades.
The meeting adjourned around 6:15 p.m.
The Centerville School Board then called to order a special meeting at approximately 6:20 p.m. to quickly take care of some additional business with the bond issue previously looked at in December's and January's meetings.
The board moved to approve a resolution appointing paying agent, bond registrar and transfer agent, approved the paying agent, bond registrar and transfer agent agreement and authorized the execution of the same. The board also approved the form of tax exemption certificate, approved the continuing disclosure certificate and approved the resolution for the issuance of the bonds before adjourning.
The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Administration Building.
