Brennen Tubaugh, 2003 Centerville High School graduate and the son of Dr. Jaren and Jamie Tubaugh of Centerville, was recently honored at the Simpson College Honors Convocation. He was one of a select group of Simpson College seniors who were honored.
Tubaugh was the recipient of the E.G. Booth Award, amed after Dr. E.G. Booth who served at Simpson College for over 30 years as mentor, educator, coach, education department chair and athletic director. The award is given to a senior in education who is outstanding in athletics and has also shown excellence in teaching and scholarship.
Tubaugh will graduate from Simpson May 17 with a degree in physical education and wellness. He has accepted a graduate assistant coacing position at the University of South Dakota with the men’s basketball team.
Tubaugh will also be attending graduate school at the University of South Dakota while a graduate assistant coach and will be getting his master’s degree in athletic administration.
