Jenny Matkovich, daughter of Bill and Rita Matkovich of Centerville, was elected president of Women in Business at the Tippie School of Business at the University of Iowa on April 16. She was elected vice president of marketing at the Tippie School of Business in November 2007. She coordinated the Women in Business Leadership Conference on March 1.
University of Iowa President Sally Mason, several business owners including Java Joes, chamber of commerce manager of Cedar Rapids and the wife of the dean of the business college were among the presenters.
The mission of Women in Business is to empower women to improve their lives and inspire them to improve the lives of others.
Matkovich will have a luncheon meeting with Sally Mason, president of the University of Iowa, every Friday along with the presidents of other student organizations.
