What is the Water Department fate?

By Michael Schaffer Managing Editor
The Daily Iowegian

---- — The Daily Iowegian will publish an Editorial Question of the Week on the Opinion page.

The Iowegian wants readers to think about the fate of the Centerville Municipal Waterworks Board of Trustees. The Centerville City Council voted no to place the board on the November ballot to have voters decide if the board should be dissolved so the city could take control.

However, enough signatures were gathered on petition to have the water board decision placed on the November ballot in what is called Public Measure A.

So, the question of the week is, “How will you vote on Public Measure A?”

Go to the Daily Iowegian website, www.dailyiowegian.com, and scroll down the home page to POLL on the right hand side and cast your vote. Or call the Iowegian office at (641) 856-6336 or email the editor at iowegianeditor@mchsi.com to cast a vote.

Vote on the Question of the Week up until Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 12 p.m. The results will be published in the Thursday, Oct. 31 paper along with a new question.

Here are the results from the last poll question: “Where do you stand? Do you view the Republican Party and tea party movement unfavorably or do you view the president and the Democratic Party unfavorably?””

A. I view Republican Party, tea party movement unfavorably received 76 votes.

B. I view president and Democratic Party unfavorably received 102 votes.
