Knoxville man dies in weekend crash

KNOXVILLE — A Knoxville man died this weekend in a crash on Old Highway 92.

The Iowa State Patrol says Jonathan Sinnard, 29, was killed when the car he was driving ran into a ditch. The report says Sinnard was driving eastbound on Old Highway 92 at 1:13 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of 186th Place when his vehicle crossed the center line. Sinnard lost control when the car ran into the ditch. It rolled several times.

Sinnard was ejected from the car as it rolled. He died at the scene. A passenger was uninjured in the crash. Patrol reports do not typically name those involved in a crash who survive without injuries.
