CENTERVILLE — On Thursday, Nov. 15, Game On, LLC opened its doors to the public. Game On has a goal of being a family-friendly establishment that is planning to bring a fun option to Centerville and the surrounding areas.

At this point, the hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 6-9 p.m.; Friday, 5 p.m.-12 a.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

To reach Game On, you have many options.  Stop by at 605 Green St., email at,  go to or use the text line at (515) 577-8512.

The owners of Game On, Brad and Sarah Dittmer, are working on phase one with plans to expand in the future.

Phase one includes a small arcade area, a party room that can be reserved and the laser tag arena. The arcade has some old favorites, such as:  Skee Ball, Galaxian, Racing Games, Frogger, Ms. Pacman and Donkey Kong, Jr.

The party room is over 800 square feet in size and can be reserved for birthday parties, graduation parties, business training and other gathers as well. A nonrefundable deposit is required, but it is transferable to another person and/or date.

The laser tag arena is 1,800 square feet and consists of a maze, a fog machine and techno music to add to the experience. The game can consist of two to 12 players and can be played as individual play or by teams.  The more players in the arena at a time, the more fun it normally is.

Game On needs everyone’s cooperation to stay family-friendly. Game On is a drug-free/alcohol-free environment so please behave accordingly.

On New Year’s Eve there is going to be a Lock In for anyone 14 years old and older.  Doors will open at 8 p.m. and the event concludes at 6 a.m., New Year’s Day. Costs are $50 prepaid or $75 at the door.  Space is very limited, so it will be a first-come, first-serve basis. And once you leave the building, there will be no readmittance. The night will include free unlimited laser tag and free arcade games.
