Published July 10, 2008 10:17 am - Ottumwa Regional Health Center has appointed Dan Porter, as the Chief Financial Officer. Ottumwa Regional names new CFO Ottumwa Regional Health Center has appointed Dan Porter, as the Chief Financial Officer.
Tom Siemers President and CEO commented, “We are very pleased to have Dan join the health center as its new Chief Financial Officer. This is a pivotal role for ORHC and Dan brings to the hospital the financial, accounting and strategic experience necessary to help us reach our ambitious financial goals.” Mr. Porter brings extensive experience to the health center, having served for 20 years in the area of health care, accounting and finance. He comes to Ottumwa Regional from Alegent Health in Omaha Nebraska, a nine hospital system, providing 2,000 beds with 8,600 employees and an annual net service revenue of $1 billion. He received his BBA degree and MBA from Drake University in Des Moines. Commenting on his appointment, Dan Porter said, "I look forward to building the financial infrastructure that will allow Ottumwa Regional to achieve our near-and long-term objectives. I am thrilled to be a part of a team that believes in putting the hospital in the top 5% in the nation in patient, physician and employee satisfaction."
