MYSTIC — On April 12, 2013 at approximately 9:15 a.m. members of the South Central Iowa Drug Task Force, Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office, Centerville Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotic search warrant at 301 N. 2nd Street in Mystic, according to a press release from the Appanoose County Sheriff's Office released Friday evening.
During the execution of the search warrant Law Enforcement Officers discovered items conducive to the clandestine manufacture of methamphetamine.
As a result, Gary Molloy Black, age 40 of Mystic and Donna Marie West, age 33 of Mystic, were arrested.
Black is charged with allegedly Conspiring to manufacture more than five grams of Methamphetamine, a class “B” Felony and four counts of Child Endangerment, Aggravated Misdemeanors.
West is charged with allegedly Providing Lithium for the manufacturing of Methamphetamine, a class “D” Felony and four counts of Child Endangerment, Aggravated Misdemeanors.
Black is being held in the custody of the Appanoose County Sheriff on a bond of $108,000. West is being held in the custody of the Appanoose County Sheriff on a bond of $13,000.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
