UPDATE: State-wide amber alert canceled

SHELLSBURG, IA — UPDATE: Authorities say they have found Kiley Sahnnon unharmed in Cedar Rapids.the amber alert has been canceled. Authorities do not know where Sean Shannon is located still.

 

ORIGINAL STORY: The Iowa Amber Alert has been activiated after a reported abduction in Shellsburg, which is located near Cedar Rapids and Waterloo in eastern Iowa.

An 11-year-old child, Kiley Seane Shannon, was reported abducted. She is described as a 5'0" white female with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a fishnet tank top, a jean mini skirt, pink flip flops and had her hair in a pony tail.

The abductor is Sean Shannon, 37. He is described as a 6'2", 250 pound white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, black gym shorts and white/red tennis shoes. He has a tattoo on the right side of his neck, as well as other tattoos on his body.

He is believed to be driving a 1998 green Chrysler Cirrus with the license plate 452 WWY. The destination is unknown.

KCCI is reporting that authorities say Sean is Kiley's father and abducted her from her home. According to deputies Sean does not have parental rights, may be suicidal and has a history of drug problems.
