"I was always meant to be an actor," Talbot said about Payton. Payton's first wife was actress Etta Reed who passed away in 1915. Payton then married Henrietta Browne. Payton, who was born Dec. 18, 1866 in Centerville passed away Feb. 23, 1934 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Corse Payton is buried in Oakland Cemetery.
