Top, Red Cross workers Janelle Schmid and Julie Smithart visited with students at Central about what the Red Cross does when someone loses their home in a fire, including finding food, shelter and clothing for the affected family. The students learned about fire safety in the kitchen as part of Fire Prevention Week. Right, the students learned what to do in response to a fire and about smoke alarms.
