The Centerville FFA held their chapter banquet on Saturday, May 10 at 6 p.m. at the Lakeview cafeteria.
Awards were given out to many of the members.
The Star Green Hand Award went to Malinda Rupalo. To get the Star Green Hand Award one must enroll in agricultural class, learn and explain the FFA creed, mission, motto and salute, be able to explain the meaning of the FFA emblem and colors, show a understanding of the FFA code of ethics and proper use of the FFA jacket and other important things.
The Rising Star Award was given to Arianna Litke for most outstanding sophomore member.
The following senior parents were awarded with the Honorary Chapter Degree: Bill and Tracy Morris, Randy and Karla Rupalo, Veronica Bachman and Kim and Brad Moore.
The Appreciation Award was given to Karla Rupalo, Tracy Morris and Jodie McCoy for their help chaperoning many events over the year.
And other awards where given out as well.
At this banquet the following new 2014-2015 officers were inducted: for president - Arianna Litke, vice president - Trey McCoy, secretary - Erissa McGill, sentinel - Brett Bauman, reporter in charge of publicity - Taylor Lawson, treasurer - Kirsten Brauman, junior reporter - Makala Bauer, community development chair - Hannah Sales and student development chair - Karson Gonnerman.
